Classes
I offer classes occasionally on flower arranging, wreath making, or growing and drying flowers.
The following photographs follow a class in the arranging process for a small one-sided basket.
First select the basket and fill with floral foam.
Next add the filler, in this case dusty miller. Also hide the foam with some moss.
Then add some of the primary elements in this case celocia cristata in a deep pink.
Then add some contrast in this case some anaphalis.
Now fill in the rest with a variety of shapes and forms such as yellow yarrow,
yellow straw flowers, grey poppy seed pods and some pink gomphrena.
| Finish with some silver artemisia "Silver King" and you have a
finished basket.
| You will need a large work table.
| Tools you will need.
| A selection of baskets you could use.
| Ribbons are useful for swags and wreaths.
